5 years can seem like an eternity to some and just another term on a car loan for others. My life has changed completely during a 5 year span. I started out 2005 in Hawaii breaking ties with an old crazy girlfriend only to leave and come back to WV for the love of my life. Yes, I married the girl I flew 18 hours on 6 different flights to see in Pittsburgh, PA. Since my arrival back in the mainland I have changed jobs twice and now currently run a zoo. Well its actually a Wells Fargo Financial office in Fairmont, WV. If you think the movie Office Space is funny then we would have you rolling on a weekly basis. We have the ever present "Lumberg" of a District Manager, constantly making us work late nights or Saturdays (more on work later).

During the last 5 years I have had the joy of welcoming my beautiful daughter Aug. 14 2006. In typical Calvert fashion, I put the cart before the horse and didnt get married until June 28th 2008. Up to this point one of the top two highlights of my life the other being the birth of my two children Mary and JWC II. After the wedding ended and the hangover began life seemed to speed up into overdrive. The days begin flying by with much happening. My daughter growing rapidly, although with developmental delays, and my wife and I expanding our family from us and my step-daughter to a full-fledged family of five. My son was born on Feb. 5th 2010. After careful consideration we determined this to be the last.

Parenthood leads us to do things we never thought we could do. Such as multi-tasking constantly. Kid in one hand, dirty dishes in the other. Laundry lists of things that never seem to get done. But at the end of the day bath time and bed time stories are the rule and not the exception (my favorite part of the day). Kids make us sleep deprived but keep us young at heart. Staying on top of things is a task in itself. Juggling soccer games, dance practice, tumbling, as well as typical errands leads to a fast paced life. I would have never imagined my life as it is today just 5 short years ago but as "they" say Shit happens!
