5 years can seem like an eternity to some and just another term on a car loan for others. My life has changed completely during a 5 year span. I started out 2005 in Hawaii breaking ties with an old crazy girlfriend only to leave and come back to WV for the love of my life. Yes, I married the girl I flew 18 hours on 6 different flights to see in Pittsburgh, PA. Since my arrival back in the mainland I have changed jobs twice and now currently run a zoo. Well its actually a Wells Fargo Financial office in Fairmont, WV. If you think the movie Office Space is funny then we would have you rolling on a weekly basis. We have the ever present "Lumberg" of a District Manager, constantly making us work late nights or Saturdays (more on work later).
During the last 5 years I have had the joy of welcoming my beautiful daughter Aug. 14 2006. In typical Calvert fashion, I put the cart before the horse and didnt get married until June 28th 2008. Up to this point one of the top two highlights of my life the other being the birth of my two children Mary and JWC II. After the wedding ended and the hangover began life seemed to speed up into overdrive. The days begin flying by with much happening. My daughter growing rapidly, although with developmental delays, and my wife and I expanding our family from us and my step-daughter to a full-fledged family of five. My son was born on Feb. 5th 2010. After careful consideration we determined this to be the last.
Parenthood leads us to do things we never thought we could do. Such as multi-tasking constantly. Kid in one hand, dirty dishes in the other. Laundry lists of things that never seem to get done. But at the end of the day bath time and bed time stories are the rule and not the exception (my favorite part of the day). Kids make us sleep deprived but keep us young at heart. Staying on top of things is a task in itself. Juggling soccer games, dance practice, tumbling, as well as typical errands leads to a fast paced life. I would have never imagined my life as it is today just 5 short years ago but as "they" say Shit happens!

Iraqi elections are underway and President Bush has made his fourth and final speech to calm pressures he's feeling from the public. I am hoping the elections go smoothly and if they dont I would like to nominate Yossarian as the acting prime minister of Iraq. Under his guidance I am sure Iraq will be at peace for the first time ever. Hopefully with his liberal stance on politics and a great V.P. Yoss could achieve results of epic proportion. I would also like to nominate Pedro as Yoss' V.P. This tandem would have Iraqi women singing in the streets in thongs and a vic secret brazierre. If the women are happy then the crazy sex deprived insurgents would then be happy because they might finally get a little nookie.
Everyone who agrees that Yoss would be a great president in Iraq please feel free to send a write-in vote via email to VoteforPedro.com.
Please CS I need to know does lizzie go both ways....I was so intrigued with her blogging I rushed out to wally world and bought some chocolate turtle chex mix and some bugles. After tasting the incredibly delicious treats I thought this must be what really turn women onto other women. They not only make you feel warm and fuzzy inside but they also seem to send tingling sensations down my right leg. Huh? Go figure.

Striking thoughts for you to ponder?
How does George Bush get re-elected in a country that claims duty, honor, and loyalty? Has bush relayed any of these characteristics.....NO
Why is my brother 6,000 miles away fighting a war that doesn't even seem viable? Here I am unable to do anything while my brother's life is put on the line everyday. I would like nothing better than to be over there with him to see it through but that isn't a possibility.
How can I complain when the soldiers are the ones suffering through this?
Well I think every friend and family member has a great reason to complain. We cant do anything but try and boost moral. Our hands are tied behind our backs and the only real voice we have is our vote which hasnt mattered really since the electoral college is the real vote. We should all write our congressmen and women and let it be known that our boys are fighting a war over money and power and yet they see neither of these products.
How can a private contractor i.e. Halliburton send people over to get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars with tax breaks while our troops are so underpaid and overworked. Heresy I tell you. What happened to equal opportunity employers. Does that law not stand up for gov. employees?
Finally I would like to wish everyone a merry fucking christmas with extra Ba-Humbug. Thats about how I've felt this year for the holidays because my brother is forced to do as he was trained. Thank God for people such as CS but I only wish it was someone else's brother doing it.
Keep up the good work and stay safe.

Winter is here. West Virginia is a beautiful state but the long winters tend to drag on into a lifetime. I cant stand anything 25 degrees or below. Unlike the unbelievable climate I just left in Hawaii the bitter cold is not as attractive.
Enough about the weather it is Sunday and there was a long list of great NFL games today.
First of all the NFC is horrible and should consider there championship game the super bowl because whoever represents them will get smashed by the AFC.
Da Bears- sorry but you play a weak schedule with a great defense and a horrible offense.
Better luck next year.
Da Vikes- Yea Brad Johnson has done well but that will hit a wall next week against the pissed off STEELERS!
Da Giants- can look good at times but are very undisciplined. One of the most penalized teams in the NFL.
Da Cowboys- dont even deserve a listing....THEY SUCK BALL SWEAT!!!
Carolina - shitty but decent.....they have a lot of up sides except Jake Delhomme is Jake the Mistake.
Tampa Bay - lost to the 49ers....nuff said
Atlanta - Vick cant decide which member of the team to blame because he thinks he's god. Make a choice RB or QB.
Not one contender all pretenders.
Every AFC team in the playoffs will be the top 6 teams in the NFL the rest are just fooling themselves.

In the everchanging world of technology I am finding that it sucks. Sometimes I wonder how nice it would be to stop hearing the nonstop chatter of people on cell phones. Cell phones have ruined many things that used to be overlooked. I recently got pissed off at my cell phone and my girlfriends cell phone and heaved both of them in a fit of rage into the elk river. She seemed to find it funny at the time because of the drunken state we were in. Now without a cell phone and my 200 contacts I thought I would be fucking pissed off but as the days passed I couldn't be tracked down. I actually had some peace and quite for once. I let this go by for two weeks then I broke down and gave in to technology by purchasing a new phone. Within minutes of activation people were chiming in again annoying my tranquile state that had arose since its departure. This makes me wonder how being disconnected from society might seem to others such as my brother in Iraq. I would think at first this disconnection would be a nice change from the hustle of the city. The isolation would get old though after a month or so then it may begin to feel like prison. Shitty food, poor job details, dangerous living conditions, and not to mention disconnection from the opposite sex and alcohol. This is a very combative combination. If I were stripped of these freedoms, after becoming so fond of them, punching someone in the face wouldn't just be a daydream but a reality. So to all of you out there who wake up everyday dreading the monotaneous mundane life we go through on a regular basis drink a cold beer, sit back and relax and thank our soldiers that protect these freedoms while they lose theirs.
Good Day!

This is my attempt to follow some friends of mine into the online fantasy world that many people escape to throughout our hectic (yossarian being the exception) lives. I have been following a few of the blogs my brother introduced me to. Most have been rather entertaining and downright laugh out loud funny. I am hoping mine can remain that way. I am asking to please refrain from talk on politics, religion, and homosexuality for this my strike a nerve. Oh wait! Then there would be nothing to talk about. Thanks again for the push to start my own site. JC
